🌿Gideon
Gideon is a band I've been listening to since their pretty popular single No Love/No One. I liked that song, but didn't listen to their older stuff that much. Then they dropped Out of Control and I was obsessed. These guys aren't as popular as they should be given how hard hitting and different their songs are.
Sources have put their music into various genres, from hardcore punk to melodic hardcore to metalcore. However, the band have slowly started to pursue a harder style eschewing the more melodic styles in favor towards the thrash side of the spectrum. Until 2019, the band identified as a Christian band, and so their music was built around a Christian atmosphere. As of 2019 the band is no longer a Christian band.

Their latest album More Power. More Pain. is just right up my alley. The drums, the drums, the drums. I never get tired of the drums; there's always something unexpected and I love every ghost note. Their songs switch things up just right. 🫶
